In this TCBoK, the term ‘document’ is used in the broadest possible sense to mean an ‘information product’. Such an information product could consist of a body of work comprising a traditional printed manual, a user guide delivered online, web or intranet-delivered content, or even graphical or video content. The information product may be developed during a project specifically set up for that purpose. Alternatively, it could be developed as part of another project that has a primary focus of creating a software product, a machine, appliance or other device that requires supporting information.
